About The Position

This position is responsible for the supervision of all security officers and supervisors at the Moses, MAP and CHAM locations. This position coordinates security activities to safeguard associates, visitors, patients, facilities, and organizational property and assets. Collaborates with the security leadership to develop and implement organizational strategies, policies and practices. This role deals with sensitive and confidential matters. Depending on the circumstances or particular work project, this position will be expected to work varying hours, shifts, including evenings/nights and weekends/holidays to ensure coverage and meet deadlines. This position is an essential role and will be required to work during inclement weather. Investigates Security incidents that require immediate attention and decision. Communicate to Security and site leadership accordingly. Responds to emergencies, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, threats, hospital codes as required and ensures emergency response procedures are followed. Patrols and assists Security Officers and Supervisors as required. Manage Security Officers and Supervisors as to their performance and results - manages departmental time off, includes, vacations, holidays and other requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum GED/High School Diploma.
  • Must obtain NYS Security License Required within six months of hire.
  • CPR/Basic Life Training Certification is required.
  • Five years or more experience in Security or job-related field (ie: Law Enforcement) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License is preferred.
