About The Position

Our Minds Matter (OMM) is dedicated to preventing teen suicide by creating safe spaces in schools where young people can build social connections, practice self-care, and offer peer-to-peer mental health support. Founded in 2012, OMM has grown into a leading provider of teen mental health programming in the DC Metro Area (DMV), supporting 149 clubs nationwide. The School Success Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the club model, serving as the link between program strategy and field execution, and directly mentoring on-the-ground staff. This role reports to senior program leadership, focusing on program implementation standards, school/club satisfaction, retention, and the professional development of the club coaching team. The Manager will collaborate with the program leadership team to integrate field trends into operational systems, partnerships, measurement, and program development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • 3–5 years of experience managing and growing junior-level personnel or hourly staff, with a focus on coaching, motivating, and fostering a high-energy team culture
  • Demonstrated success in managing programs or projects and budgets, preferably within a non-profit, school, or mental health setting.
  • A proactive problem-solver and innovator who can take high-level strategy and translate it into "boots on the ground" action autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage complex, dynamic relationships with varying needs and expectations
  • Knowledge of mental health issues affecting teens and experience working with adolescent populations
  • A mindset dedicated to continuous learning and iterative improvement
  • Proficient in leveraging data to drive daily and weekly decision-making (ideally using CRMs like Salesforce, Tableau, or similar platforms)
  • Proficient in utilizing Google Drive and project management/communication tools such as Asana, Slack, and Canva.
  • Valid criminal background check via state police and Child Protective Services

Nice To Haves

  • Training or education in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Public Health, or a related field that informs your approach to youth mental health.
  • Previous experience as an entry-level or junior staff member working directly in schools with students and faculty.
  • Professional or lived experience with teens or young adults from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with the unique cultural, social, and economic barriers facing immigrant families and/or historically underserved communities
  • Comfort with non-didactic facilitation styles and leading high-energy activities
  • Comfortable in using various social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Preference for individuals with a relationship to the Fairfax County, Montgomery County, or District of Columbia Public School systems, or the broader DC Metro Area community (e.g., current/former residents or alumni).

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitor program performance using Salesforce and other data, responding to data on a daily and weekly basis; proactively implementing course corrections to ensure all programmatic goals remain met in collaboration with the assigned club coach/program coordinator(s).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to program delivery, including coordination, quality control, and partner/stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure that program services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and aligned with the service delivery model.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, taking full ownership of end-to-end deliverables and cross-functional service integration.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of program services delivery, ensuring it’s responsive to the needs of partners, stakeholders, and communities served.
  • Oversee program budgets and expenses while providing regular performance updates to senior leadership to ensure goals are met.
  • Drive communication efforts across the OMM club network to boost program participation and ensure cohesive engagement with various initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor program staff (3-4 program coordinators), utilizing one-on-one meetings and monthly performance checks to foster professional growth and high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead regular team meetings to discuss goals and challenges, fostering a positive, communicative, and motivated work culture where staff feel empowered.
  • Ensure team members adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and data-tracking standards.
  • Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage, including filling in for absent staff as needed.
  • Step in to facilitate and support various programs as needed to reach club health and programmatic goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies and professional development to enhance team productivity and improve service delivery.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new program staff.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise within the program, escalating to senior management as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with school staff, students, and external partners to facilitate the successful delivery of programs.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for select stakeholders, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Regularly meet with stakeholders to assess satisfaction, gather feedback, and address issues to improve service delivery.
  • Oversee service delivery to ensure it is tailored to specific site needs while adhering to core program guidelines.
  • Ensure services are provided in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, adhering to program guidelines.
  • Support schools/stakeholders in overcoming barriers to accessing or receiving services and troubleshooting challenges as they arise.
  • Assist in overall program success.
  • Contribute to the team in a meaningful and genuine way through actively participating in team meetings, culture building, participating in committees, and helping the organization continuously improve.
  • Support annual organization fundraising events.
  • Assist in other fundraising and operations efforts as needed.
  • Collaborate with interns and other contracted staff as needed.
  • Represent the company at events and promote the organization’s value proposition to external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to build awareness and support for OMM.
  • Responsible for tracking and monitoring programming expenses and overseeing budgets for projects and programs.
