About The Position

The Sales Manager is a high-performing, consultative seller responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of client and agency relationships while actively expanding Forbes’ footprint through new business development. This role requires a balanced approach, owning and growing an existing book of business while consistently identifying and converting new revenue opportunities. Covering a diverse set of categories - including luxury lifestyle, financial services, healthcare and technology - the Sales Manager must be adaptable, strategic, and comfortable navigating varying client priorities and market dynamics. This individual brings a strong track record of closing new business, building lasting relationships, and delivering integrated, multi-platform solutions that drive measurable results. New York/Tri-State Area Candidates within travel distance of our Jersey City office are preferred.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of advertising sales experience, preferably within integrated media
  • Demonstrated track record of prospecting, developing, and closing new business
  • Experience managing and growing an existing book of business with accountability for revenue performance
  • Proven ability to sell integrated solutions across digital, branded content, social, video, and experiential platforms
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple industries and client types
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of client and agency relationships while driving consistent new business development
  • Prospect, develop, and close new revenue opportunities across key categories (luxury, spirits, financial services, technology)
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and agency partners, engaging stakeholders of all levels
  • Develop and present integrated, multi-platform proposals across Forbes’ ecosystem (digital, branded content, social, video, live events)
  • Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets through a balanced mix of account growth and new business
  • Lead client meetings, including preparing and delivering presentations and proposals that clearly articulate strategy, insights, and the value of Forbes’ integrated solutions
  • Navigate and manage a diverse set of accounts, adapting quickly across industries, objectives, and partner structures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver high-quality proposals and seamless campaign execution
  • Maintain a strong, active pipeline and accurate forecasting within CRM systems
  • Stay informed on market trends, client business challenges, and competitive dynamics
