They are seeking a passionate, team-first Sales Development Manager to lead, coach, and inspire the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. This role is crucial for developing early sales talent, guiding them towards Account Executive positions, and enhancing outbound sales performance. The role requires working from the Chicago office Monday-Thursday.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of sales experience
  • 1–2+ years managing SDR or BDR teams
  • Proven track record of promoting SDRs to quota-carrying roles
  • Experience building scalable training and development frameworks
  • Deep understanding of outbound sales methodologies (cold calling, social selling, cadence creation, etc.)
  • High EQ and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with sales tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Gong)
  • Collaborative, selfless leadership style that puts the team first
  • Data-driven decision-maker capable of analyzing performance metrics and adjusting strategies
  • Passion for helping people grow

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily hands-on coaching to entry-level SDRs focusing on cold calling, objection handling, prospecting strategies, and professional development.
  • Foster a career path for SDRs with clear milestones and champion internal promotions to Account Executive roles.
  • Create an environment of energy and positivity, serving as a consistent source of motivation for the outbound prospecting team.
  • Demonstrate best practices through call reviews, outreach sequence strategizing, and role-playing difficult conversations.
  • Set clear goals, track KPIs (e.g., meetings booked, pipeline influenced), and implement systems for accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Embody a 'Together We Thrive' ethos by prioritizing team success and celebrating achievements.
  • Hire and onboard SDRs who align with the company culture and growth mindset, championing diverse and inclusive hiring practices.
