About The Position

HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Risk Manager for a 20+ bed critical access hospital in Alaska. The position focuses on patient safety through timely review of patient safety events, conducting root cause analyses (RCAs), leading discussions with staff and leadership, and facilitating action plan meetings. Expenses are covered while on assignment, including housing, airfare, and a rental car.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Previous successful experience as a Manager or Director responsible for hospital accreditation and regulatory readiness.
• Current RN license in Alaska or any other state.

Nice To Haves

• BSN.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification or Certified Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient safety.
• Review patient safety events in a timely manner.
