About The Position

The Manager, Revenue Accounting will support the controllership organization by leading core revenue accounting operations across Pro Sports & Experiences, with responsibility for transaction processing, revenue reporting, close execution, and control performance. This role owns the integrity of revenue-related data flows from contract setup through cash application, revenue recognition, and reporting, ensuring balances are complete, accurate, timely, and supported by audit-ready documentation. The position reports to the Director, Revenue Operations & Transformation and will partner closely with Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Sales, Operations, Financial Systems, and external auditors to strengthen the close process, improve controls, and scale repeatable revenue operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, revenue operations, or public accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606, revenue accounting, reconciliations, close processes, and audit support requirements.
  • Experience operating in SOX-compliant or public company control environments, including control execution, documentation, and remediation support.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, identify exceptions, and translate data into actionable close and reporting insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day revenue operations, including contract setup support, support for the billing and collections team, revenue transaction review, journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and monthly close deliverables.
  • Execute and evidence revenue-related SOX controls, maintain clear ownership over key control activities, prepare audit-ready support, and proactively address control gaps, process risks, and external audit requests.
  • Partner with Financial Systems and Transformation teams to improve NetSuite and related revenue data flows, support automation initiatives, resolve data quality issues, and build scalable reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Work with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Operations, Billing and Collections, and Revenue Accounting to ensure contract terms, billing activity, cash application, and revenue recognition conclusions are aligned, documented, and communicated clearly.
  • Manage and develop revenue operations team members, establish clear close calendars and operating routines, assign ownership, monitor deliverables, and reinforce a culture of accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
