About The Position

The Manager, Renewables Asset Management is responsible for maximizing the value and profitability of Invenergy Services' contracts through effective customer relationship management, commercial oversight, and team leadership. Serving as a primary customer interface, this role builds trusted partnerships, ensures contract compliance, and drives successful business outcomes across both personally managed contracts and a team-managed portfolio. As a people leader, the Manager develops and coaches a team of asset managers while fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management, power generation, renewable energy, or a related industry
  • Experience managing customer relationships and serving as a primary customer interface
  • Experience negotiating, administering, and managing commercial contracts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
  • Experience with standard financial metrics and analyses (NPV, IRR, DCF models)
  • 20% travel required
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer vias sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of asset managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Set priorities, provide performance feedback, and support professional development for direct reports.
  • Promote consistent asset management practices and share best practices across the team.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex customer, commercial, and operational issues.
  • Directly manage a portfolio of assets while also providing leadership, guidance, and oversight for assets managed by direct reports.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned customers, building trusted partnerships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead customer-facing meetings, business reviews, and strategic discussions regarding asset performance, contract execution, and portfolio objectives.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations and proactively identify and address potential risks, disputes, or areas of non-compliance.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to evaluate opportunities that improve asset performance, operational outcomes, and financial results.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiate resolutions to contractual issues, change requests, claims, and disputes.
  • Lead resolution of complex commercial disputes, warranty claims, performance guarantees, contractual defaults, and settlement negotiations with customers, OEMs, contractors, and service providers.
  • Accountable for overall customer satisfaction, contract performance, retention, and long-term commercial success across assigned accounts and team-managed portfolios.
  • Oversee the financial performance of assigned contracts and portfolios, identifying opportunities to enhance value and profitability.
  • Support budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and other financial reviews as required under customer agreements.
  • Evaluate and develop business cases for operational improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and aftermarket opportunities.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and other analyses to communicate performance and key insights to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for contract renewals, aftermarket offerings, service expansions, and additional value-added services to support portfolio growth and customer retention.
  • Responsible for achievement of contract margin targets, profitability objectives, forecast accuracy, and financial performance of assigned customer portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Performance Engineering, Electrical Engineering, SCADA Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to optimize asset performance.
  • Monitor key operational metrics and drive resolution of performance, availability, and reliability issues.
  • Coordinate major maintenance activities, equipment replacement strategies, and other initiatives impacting asset performance.
  • Support the onboarding of new contracts and assets, ensuring a seamless transition into commercial operations.
  • Coordinate internal resources across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and HSE organizations to resolve critical customer issues and deliver contractual commitments.
