About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to lead, develop, and inspire product quality assurance professionals at its Bellevue, Iowa manufacturing site. The Bellevue site supports advanced aerospace technologies, electronics, and communication devices. The manager will set strategic direction, champion continuous improvement, and collaborate across the organization to advance quality objectives. This is an onsite position reporting to the Associate Director of Product Quality, and relocation is available. The role leads quality teams and initiatives across multiple Avionics locations. It applies the CORE operating system in partnership with Operations, develops organizational projects and processes for continuous quality improvement, and advances long-term quality strategies based on analysis of data from multiple sources. The manager also oversees production process analysis, quality policies and practices, and talent recruitment, retention, and development.

Requirements

University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or operations functional areas.
Must be a U.S. Person.

Nice To Haves

Experience leading teams in quality assurance or a related capacity.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance Technicians.
Oversee a people leader of Certified Inspectors.
Collaborate across multiple Avionics locations to support effective decision-making among teams.
Apply the CORE operating system to daily practices within the Quality team and in partnership with Operations teams across multiple sites.
Develop and lead implementation of organizational projects and processes to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Drive quality improvement processes to reduce Scrap, Rework, and Repair (SRR) costs, internal defects, and escapes.
Direct collection and analysis of quality data from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategies and programs.
Conduct production process analyses to ensure quality standards are met and recommend improvements.
Establish, oversee, and coordinate quality policies and practices.
Recruit, retain, and develop talent within the Quality team.
Incorporate lessons learned and industry best practices into quality initiatives.
