About The Position

The Manager, Pulse Center Clinical Operations is a key operational leader responsible for the day-to-day management, performance, and continuous improvement of clinical services delivered through the Guthrie Pulse Center. This role oversees centralized virtual and clinical surveillance operations across the continuum of care, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery in alignment with Guthrie’s mission, values, and strategic objectives. As part of the Pulse Center leadership team, the Manager provides direct supervision to clinical staff, ensures operational readiness across multiple modalities, and partners closely with nursing, medical staff, IT, analytics, and operational leaders to optimize workflows, staffing models, and outcomes. The role requires strong clinical judgment, operational discipline, and the ability to lead in a highly dynamic, technology-enabled environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated healthcare supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience working in acute care, virtual care, or centralized clinical operations environments.
  • Active RN license in both Pennsylvania and New York

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of recent leadership experience in a complex healthcare setting.
  • Experience with virtual care delivery models, clinical surveillance, or technology-enabled clinical operations.
  • Strong familiarity with performance improvement, staffing models, and operational analytics.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight for assigned Pulse Center clinical services, which may include virtual Med-Surg, virtual ICU, clinical surveillance, bed placement, and/or remote patient monitoring programs.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care in accordance with regulatory requirements, evidence-based practice, and Guthrie standards.
  • Serve as an operational escalation point for complex clinical and workflow issues, exercising independent judgment and timely decision-making.
  • Directly supervise clinical and/or non-licensed staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and corrective action as needed.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and professional development.
  • Support staffing optimization, productivity management, and coverage planning across 24/7 operations, including participation in off-hours administrative call coverage as assigned.
  • Lead and participate in data-driven quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, reliability, throughput, and workforce sustainability.
  • Monitor key operational and clinical performance indicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with leaders to implement standardized workflows and sustain best practices across Pulse Center services.
  • Support fiscal accountability through effective resource utilization, staffing efficiency, and supply management.
  • Assist with development and execution of business plans, operational budgets, and performance targets for Pulse Center services.
  • Partner with nursing leadership, physicians, IT, digital health, analytics, and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of Pulse Center services into enterprise workflows.
  • Contribute to the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of new technologies, programs, and service expansions.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned, supporting the ongoing growth and maturation of the Pulse Center.

Benefits

  • The pay range for this role is $50.40- 78.65.
