Manager — Public Service, Industry & Enterprise

AccentureOttawa, ON
CA$108,800 - CA$220,400Hybrid

About The Position

We are Accenture’s Public Service team, helping government organizations reinvent how programs are designed, delivered, and experienced by the people they serve. In Canada’s public sector, that means working alongside clients to modernize operations, improve service outcomes, strengthen workforce and citizen experiences, and navigate complex policy, regulatory, funding, and stakeholder environments. Through Industry & Enterprise and our Industry & Process capabilities, we bring deep industry knowledge, enterprise-wide transformation experience, AI-enabled reinvention methods, and practical process expertise to help public service organizations move from strategy to measurable outcomes. Together, we help government work better for Canadians—responsibly, sustainably, and with confidence in a future of continuous change. If you love solving challenges and not just studying them and take pride in building the teams and client relationships that make transformation possible, then Accenture Consulting is the right place for you. Join us to translate big ideas into practical delivery plans, and to lead the teams that turn those plans into outcomes for citizens and public service employees. You are a trusted workstream lead who bridges analytical depth with growing client instinct. You are as comfortable managing a Director General relationship as you are coaching a junior team member through a difficult deliverable. You bring structure to ambiguity, hold your team to a high bar, and understand that earning a client’s confidence in government takes patience, consistency, and follow-through.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, government operations, or public service transformation, with demonstrated workstream experience on complex government engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading executive-level workshops, co-design sessions, or working groups with senior cross-functional government stakeholders.
  • Experience leading process transformation workstreams independently, including future-state operating model design.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams of Consultants and Analysts, with accountability for team quality and delivery.
  • Strong structured problem-solving and analytical skills; able to break complex, ambiguous mandates into clear workplans and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including experience presenting to Director General-level stakeholders.
  • Active Government of Canada Reliability Clearance or eligibility to obtain such in a timely manner
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Deep knowledge of federal government operations, including the Treasury Board policy suite, machinery of government, departmental planning cycles, and procurement vehicles (e.g., ProServices, Task Authorizations), with the ability to navigate central agency dynamics independently.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives using established frameworks (e.g., Prosci, Kotter) in government or highly regulated environments.
  • Track record applying AI literacy, automation, or digital transformation initiatives in a public service or complex institutional context.
  • Experience contributing to business development activities, including proposal leadership and client account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of current- and future-state business processes, operating models, transition roadmaps, implementation plans, and business cases for public service transformation, owning the recommendations narrative presented to senior client stakeholders.
  • Design and lead executive-level workshops, building engagement-level facilitation strategies that align stakeholders, prioritize opportunities, and advance decisions.
  • Own and steward client relationships with Directors General, CIOs, and other senior client stakeholders, navigating complex mandates and multi-stakeholder alignment challenges.
  • Lead AI readiness assessments for client organizations and co-architect AI-enabled solutions with Accenture’s AI experts, translating opportunity into practical, responsible, policy-compliant use cases.
  • Lead and develop teams of two to five Consultants and Analysts, setting workstream direction, coaching team members, and remaining accountable for the quality of team deliverables.
  • Manage workstream plans, risks, and quality standards across complex engagements, escalating issues early and keeping client and Accenture leadership informed.
  • Lead sections of client proposals and build relationships that generate follow-on work, while contributing reusable methods, insights, and practice assets that strengthen the broader team.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, including extended health, dental, and wellness allowance.
