About The Position

Our Property Tax Manager will supervise and work closely with a team of property tax compliance professionals at the Senior Associate and Analyst levels who are responsible for the preparation and filing of state and local property tax returns, reviewing assessment notices, and procuring, approving and processing property tax bills. As a Manager in Property Tax, duties will include initiating data requests (properties, accounts, assets) from clients and following up, setting up, maintaining, and overseeing the management of client data (Legal Entities, Properties, Accounts/Parcels, Assets), and reviewing, or assisting in the review of, client information for completeness and integrity. The role involves supervising the team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met, assisting with or having direct responsibility for the preparation and filing of property tax returns, the gathering and reviewing of assessment notices, and the procuring, approving, and processing of property tax bills. Additionally, the Manager will manage and monitor the team to maintain efficiencies and adherence to work plans established by upper management, helping the team Vice President coordinate and prioritize assignments and deadlines. The role also includes preparing or reviewing the estimated property tax liability accruals of the client, monitoring current laws, trends, and techniques relative to property tax compliance, researching and consulting with clients and assessors on various property tax issues, and maintaining positive client relationships to ensure all clients' needs are met. Staying informed on property tax procedures by participating in training sessions and educational opportunities, and providing feedback on the Sr. Associates and Analysts team members to the Team Vice President are also key aspects of the position. Essential traits include the ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers and clients, working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word, the ability to collaborate with leads and other team members, and demonstrating the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field. Experience in a Manager role and the ability to problem-solve and make educated decisions are also essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field OR a minimum of six years related work experience
  • Four to six years of Property Tax experience
