Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls on major infrastructure projects ($100M+).
  • Proven experience on large-scale construction or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong expertise in cost control, scheduling, and financial forecasting.
  • Proficiency with project controls tools, including: Primavera P6 (mandatory), SAP, InEight, advanced Excel, and Power BI.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project control frameworks (cost, schedule, and progress).
  • Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
  • Oversee cost tracking, variance analysis (CV, SV), and overall financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain master schedules (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
  • Implement and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
  • Produce clear executive reports for project leadership and senior management.
  • Manage scope changes, potential claims, and cost/schedule impacts.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and contracts teams.
  • Mentor and support project controls analysts and specialists, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with Aecon internal processes and client contractual requirements.
