About The Position

Thermo Systems is a global, full-service control systems integration partner delivering premier class automation solutions across the Energy, Life Sciences, and Mission Critical markets. The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of customer projects using a structured stage-gate delivery model. This role supports the execution of automation and control systems integration projects within construction-driven environments, including hyperscale data centers. This role oversees project controls from early planning through commissioning and closeout. Seeking a financially minded individual to manage the financial data and billings of the project. The Project Manager partners closely with engineering teams, subcontractors, field personnel, and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with project specifications and contractual commitments. Project Managers lead cross-functional execution teams through defined project gates, leveraging a centralized PMO that provides standards, tools, reporting, and governance, while balancing strong customer leadership with disciplined internal execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex industrial or systems integration projects.
  • 5+ years managing financials of large projects.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and project documentation on active job sites.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project scheduling software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with remote teams and leadership.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how project decisions impact safety and system performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to automation, control systems integration, or mission-critical infrastructure environments is beneficial.
  • PMP certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating construction-site activities or technical project execution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project financials / Schedule of Values.
  • Track and analyze project financial data.
  • Assemble and process project billings.
  • Maintain project cashflows.
  • Facilitate change orders for additional cost items.
  • Track earned value.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and change control.
  • Provide accurate and timely project reporting using standardized PMO tools.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities as required.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Assist with scheduling, material planning, and installation progress tracking.
  • Work with sub-tier contractors to ensure appropriate invoicing and incorporation into project billings.
  • Communicate project updates, schedules, and milestones clearly and proactively.
  • Build strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and communication records.
  • Provide monthly summaries of financial activities.
