About The Position

As a Manager, Programs at Insight, you will oversee engagements with our largest revenue clients as they migrate to and modernize on Google Cloud. You will lead the planning and coordination of complex engineering engagements alongside senior client stakeholders and the best cloud engineers on the planet at Google and Insight. Your large deal experience will also help shape the direction of cloud-native deployment and drive measurable business value for our partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the cloud computing industry, with a focus on GCP or similar public cloud platforms.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience in a client-facing technical, engineering, or software development environment.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams of engineers and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. People management experience, including hiring and onboarding distributed teams and vendors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both C-suite executives and technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC and proficiency in facilitating Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with a "no surprises" approach to identifying and mitigating program risks.
  • Iron-clad organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/complex programs.
  • Adept with modern productivity and collaboration tools, including Jira, Smartsheets, Confluence, Slack, and presentation software.
  • A positive, energetic attitude toward change and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented technical landscape.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering and managing GCP and/or other public cloud programs.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • MBA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full execution of client engagements, including program planning, resource management, change management, deployment, and daily project management activities.
  • Maintain professional written and verbal communications with stakeholders (Insight, Google, and client) at all organizational levels—from C-suite through technical teams.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and leadership in the PMO for status updates, issues, risks, decisions, and change requests.
  • Take on P&L responsibility to ensure scope is managed, change orders are tracked/quoted, and client payment schedules are met.
  • Lead and motivate project teams of engineers and technical stakeholders across disciplines (Infrastructure, Data, and AppDev).
  • Manage client expectations and provide exceptional delivery of critical systems and workstreams.
  • Partner with sales to understand program requirements, clarify conceptual needs for migrations, and assist in the development of detailed program specifications.
  • Act as a change agent by helping Insight evolve the PMO Center of Excellence and implementing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Identify and drive account-level follow-on work in collaboration with Sales and Account Executives.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal functions like Technical Account Management, Customer Success, and FinOps to align on program requirements.
  • Lead a team of Project Managers, support them in developing project plans, and oversee multi-disciplinary workstreams.
  • Use technical judgment to drive technology reviews, challenge proposals, and build consensus on high-complexity interdependent projects.
