About The Position

Supermicro is seeking a dynamic Manager, Program Management to provide leadership and oversight for engineering programs. This role involves driving, coordinating, and monitoring programs, including scheduling, planning, product and project cost analysis, early access, and first customer shipment. The position requires significant involvement in leading cross-functional teams from sales, production, and purchasing, and demands exceptional project management and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the computer/server industry.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing, product development, project management, quality control, and/or procurement support.
  • Technical knowledge on material-related and quick-turn engineer-to-order environments.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and delivering on time.
  • Ability to work/coordinate efficiently with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics, internally and externally, to optimize business models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Advanced level in Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop and implement new processes.

  • Experience with ERP system (SAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to drive, coordinate, and monitor engineering programs.
  • Manage scheduling, planning, product and project cost analysis, early access, and first customer shipment.
  • Lead cross-functional teams from sales, production, and purchasing.
  • Interface frequently with key OEM customers to provide turnkey manufacturing services.
  • Drive day-to-day operations in production planning, material readiness, shortage prevention, order fulfillment, quality control, and new product development to meet forecast requirements and business growth targets.
  • Coordinate tasks of cross-functional teams from Sales, Production, Product Management, and Purchasing Departments.
  • Assist engineering programs including NPI, FAI, and ECO related project scheduling and material planning to ensure time to market.
  • Analyze customer forecast demands and maintain corresponding material schedule plans to mitigate potential shortages and ensure fast order fulfillment for sustaining products.
  • Control end-of-life product schedules and material disposition.
  • Plan for post-sale service requirements while preventing excess obsolescence.
  • Identify and develop strong business models and process improvement initiatives in supply chain, production, and the whole product life cycle.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned.
