About The Position

eBay, Inc. seeks Manager, Program Management 2 in New York, NY. This role will improve the selling experience on eBay globally using product and operational levers. The position involves defining business strategy and technical product strategy, supported by business cases and operational plans. The role requires working with internal teams to influence product and business roadmaps, conducting customer interviews and user research, and designing, running, and monitoring A/B tests. Additionally, the role involves building go-to-market plans for new feature launches, leading individual team members or teams in their work and career development, and leading the Seller Standards & Feedback Policy Strategy. This includes defining and evolving policy frameworks that govern seller performance evaluation and feedback integrity, using performance data, customer research, and competitive benchmarks to identify areas for improvement, simplification, or innovation. The Manager will act as the central point of contact for Seller Standards Policy across Trust, Legal, Analytics, Product, and Customer Service teams, building clear, compelling narratives to influence senior leaders and provide input into related initiatives like enforcement strategies, transparency mechanisms, and seller communication standards. Partial telecommuting is permitted from within a commutable distance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration or a closely related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience in business strategy, business analysis, product management, product strategy, or general management (3 years).
  • Experience conducting marketplace analysis and competitive benchmarking using first- and third-party data sources.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership using verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and business case / financial modelling using Excel or a similar tool (3 years).
  • Experience preparing presentations and business cases using Word and PowerPoint (or similar tools) (3 years).
  • Experience in project management, ensuring key stakeholders are aligned and giving visibility to leadership on progress and blockers.
  • Key financial drivers and experience with business performance or P&L analysis.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting business KPIs.
  • Experience working at a management consulting firm, investment firm, or working in a related business strategy role (2 years).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Build clear, compelling narratives that influence senior leaders and help drive alignment on trade-offs and priorities.
  • Provide input into related initiatives like enforcement strategies, transparency mechanisms, and seller communication standards.
