About The Position

VDS is recruiting a sourcing leader for a defense-technology company that is establishing high-rate production of an air-vehicle family at a new manufacturing campus. The role will build and lead the team responsible for securing every part needed for the production line. It is a direct-hire, full-time position with a base salary of $143,000–$190,000 plus equity. The candidate must be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance and should expect up to 30% travel.

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain or production, including at least 5 years leading people.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
Clear communication skills from the shop floor to executives.
Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

MBA or MS.
Defense, aerospace, or automotive production experience.
Experience leading large teams while staying hands-on.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of product sourcing engineers and subcontract managers.
Set supply strategy to support continuity, quality, cost, and scale-up.
Negotiate supplier agreements and resolve trade-offs with engineering, program, and finance teams.
Reduce bill-of-materials complexity and supplier count.
Manage capital spend, new product introduction, and tariff exposure.
