About The Position

Bosch Home Comfort is seeking a results-driven Manager, Product Line Controlling (CTG) to support the Director of Product Line CTG in delivering financial integrity, operational transparency, and performance management across the Product Line division. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Line CTG, this role serves as a hands-on finance business partner responsible for executing budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance, product controlling, and manufacturing controlling experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in SAP (CO/MM modules preferred); advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI or similar reporting tools a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 10–15% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes for the Product Line, including preparation of variance analysis on COGS, gross margin, and operating expenses versus plan and prior year.
  • Build and maintain financial models and reporting packages that track Product Line KPIs including profitability, cost of goods sold, gross margin, and return on investment.
  • Prepare and present financial results, and budget-to-actual variance commentary to the Director of Product Line CTG and Product Line leadership.
  • Analyze product-level profitability and cost structures to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across the CTG portfolio.
  • Support the Director in developing the annual operating plan (AOP) and rolling forecasts by coordinating input from sales, operations, and supply chain business partners.
  • Maintain and validate standard costs for finished goods, components, and sub-assemblies in SAP, ensuring accuracy during annual cost rolls and mid-year revisions.
  • Perform detailed purchase price variance (PPV), manufacturing variance, and overhead absorption analysis; investigate root causes and communicate findings to operational stakeholders.
  • Support the new product introduction (NPI) process by developing cost estimates and financial models for new Product Line SKUs and product platform decisions.
  • Coordinate production order settlement, WIP review, and inventory valuation processes during period close.
  • Partner with supply chain and procurement on material cost assumptions, landed cost analysis, and commodity risk exposure within the CTG product portfolio.
  • Act as a day-to-day finance business partner to Product Line managers, operations leads, and commercial teams, providing financial guidance that supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management teams on pricing analysis, margin bridge reviews, and deal-level profitability assessments.
  • Liaise with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure financial alignment across the full value chain, from raw material procurement through finished goods delivery.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise communication tailored for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Maintain compliance with Bosch accounting policies, internal controls standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements within areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audit inquiries, ensuring timely and well-documented submissions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within financial reporting, cost accounting, and planning workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure data integrity within SAP and other financial reporting systems; serve as a key user and subject matter resource for the controlling team.
