About The Position

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next. Netflix aspires to “entertain the world” by finding amazing stories, and sharing those stories through a personalized product experience that pleases our members. The Product Finance & Strategy (F&S) team partners with Product Merchandising, which is responsible for positioning, promoting, and presenting our content on our product so that members find it easy and enjoyable to choose what they love. As the F&S partner, we enable this via close collaboration with Product Merchandising leaders, Data Science, Business F&S, Consumer Insights, and Corporate Finance. To guide the business effectively, this role requires evaluating Netflix’s merchandising strategy across new and emerging content types, tracking market dynamics and competitor trends, and understanding how changes to the member experience impact engagement, discovery, and growth. As an individual contributor Manager on this team, you will be the dedicated F&S business partner for two of the fastest-moving areas in Product Merchandising: New Content Exploration (NCE) and New Content Experiences (NCX), both of which are responsible for bringing emerging content types - including games, live events, podcasts - to life on the Netflix platform. We are seeking candidates who bring strong analytical rigor, product intuition, and the ability to operate with confidence in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. The ideal candidate will have a track record of partnering directly with product managers and operational and/or creative teams, proactively identifying & conducting in-depth analyses for novel business cases, and synthesizing complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, a strong ownership mindset, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-moving environment. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Product Merchandising, F&S. While our preference is for this role to be based in Los Angeles, we are open to it being based in Los Gatos with the expectation of regular travel to the Los Angeles office.
