Manager, Product Development Engineering - HBM

NVIDIA•Santa Clara, CA
•$200,000 - $322,000

About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager to lead the HBM Product Development team within its Ops organization. The team brings next-generation HBM products from new product introduction (NPI) through manufacturing ramp and high-volume production. The manager works across ASIC, system-level product development, test development, reliability, manufacturing, operations, and HBM suppliers to improve yield, resolve manufacturing issues, and support product qualification and production scale-up. The role combines technical expertise in HBM with leadership in product development and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. It includes managing and mentoring product development engineers, establishing data analysis and automation capabilities, driving supplier quality improvement, and reporting product readiness and risks to NVIDIA leadership.

Requirements

  • MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of overall experience in memory product development or engineering.
  • At least 3 years of technical leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong circuit-level understanding of HBM architecture and command of key AC/DC datasheet parameters.
  • Hands-on product characterization experience using the Verigy 93K ATE platform.
  • Proficiency in Python, C, or C++, with demonstrated statistical data modeling experience using JMP or equivalent tools.
  • Experience building automation and scripting infrastructure for validation, data analysis, and test workflows.
  • A proven ability to drive problem-solving in a cross-functional environment under aggressive schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct engineering experience with major HBM suppliers such as Hynix, Micron, or Samsung.
  • A bias for action; self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable driving ambiguous problems to resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor product development engineers responsible for HBM bring-up, characterization, and production ramp.
  • Partner with HBM vendors and NVIDIA teams across ASIC, System Product Engineering, Test Engineering, and Reliability to investigate manufacturing failures and shift failure resolution to supplier manufacturing.
  • Own root-cause analysis and resolution for yield excursions, fallout, and reliability escapes, and ensure smooth NPI-to-production transitions.
  • Lead yield improvement initiatives aimed at eliminating HBM manufacturing fallout across NVIDIA’s supply chain.
  • Provide structured quality feedback to HBM suppliers and lead test audits to improve outgoing product quality.
  • Establish scalable data analysis frameworks, automation tooling, and statistical methodologies for validation and production monitoring.
  • Collaborate with operations teams on product qualification, ramp readiness, and high-volume manufacturing scale-up.
  • Present HBM readiness status and risk assessments to NVIDIA leadership.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salaries
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Equity
