About The Position

As a Precision Medicine Lab Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that operational activities between Regeneron and our external laboratory partners are running efficiently and productively. You will be a subject matter expert on assigned external laboratories and gain deep knowledge of their processes, capabilities, operations, documentation requirements, databases, IT systems and laboratory processes. A typical day may include: Acting as the core internal liaison between external laboratory partners and Regeneron colleagues to achieve on time and seamless execution of outsourced elements to support our clinical trials. Resource and responsible point of contact to assist with laboratory issues by providing oversight, solutions and support for relationship management. Ensuring collaboration and integration cross-departmentally with Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Sample Management, Data Management, and Precision Medicine.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a laboratory Project Manager at a central lab
  • Minimum of a BS degree in science/Medical Technology
  • Knowledge of the clinical drug development process/clinical trials
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Managerial experience/responsibility for direct supervision is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Triage, manage and mitigate risk associated with external laboratory partner escalations
  • Liaise with external laboratory partners to create and maintain training and reference documents
  • Identify and lead process improvements and initiatives at external laboratory partners
  • Review quality events/CAPAs from external laboratory partners to ensure corrective and preventive actions are adequate and effective
  • Support quality audits of external laboratory partners
  • Support scientific alignment and issue resolution with external laboratory partners
  • Monitor and improve key stakeholder performance at external laboratory partners
