Manager, Plant Quality Assurance
About The Position
Ball is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality systems and food safety programs at an onsite manufacturing facility. The role partners with operations, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to improve processes and product quality. It offers the opportunity to influence plant operations and develop teams in an organization focused on operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, and employee development. Regular in-person engagement is required. Travel and local commuting between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required. Relocation assistance may be available.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; Ball will not sponsor employment visas for this opening.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with GMP, HACCP, SQF, ISO, FSSC, or related quality systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead plant quality assurance and food safety programs.
- Manage audits, customer quality concerns, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with production and cross-functional teams to improve processes and product quality.
- Oversee supplier quality issues, claims management, mock recalls, and compliance activities.
- Champion a strong culture of safety, quality, and employee engagement.
