Our Enterprise IT team operates as the internal technology backbone — keeping the engineering org running so they can focus on building great vehicles. RV Tech Enterprise IT is building the internal technology foundation for a fast-moving Rivian-Volkswagen joint venture. The Manager, People Enterprise Applications owns the full lifecycle of HR and workforce technology at RVT — from the HRIS implementation currently underway to the long-term architecture of how our people systems talk to each other. This is a hands-on leadership role that sits at the intersection of HR, IT, and business operations. You will be the primary owner of our People applications portfolio, working directly with HR leadership and the broader Enterprise Technology team to deliver systems that scale with the company.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in enterprise HR technology, HRIS implementation, or people systems management
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major HRIS platform (Workday, Rippling, HiBob, or equivalent)
  • Track record of owning end-to-end system implementations, not just contributing to them
  • Strong stakeholder management — you can translate between HR business owners and technical teams
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements (GDPR, state-level HR data laws)
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-scaling environments — RV Tech is a JV building its HR stack from scratch

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with integration patterns (APIs, iPaaS tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workato) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing HRIS implementation — you are the IT owner, not a stakeholder
  • Define the People Apps roadmap including Workday, Rippling, HiBob, Ashby, and adjacent HR tooling
  • Partner with HR leadership to translate workforce process requirements into technology decisions
  • Own integrations between People systems and adjacent platforms (Finance, IT provisioning, identity)
  • Manage vendor relationships, SOWs, and SLAs for all People applications
  • Build in close collaboration with HR a strong HR Service Desk experience embedded into our global support model
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and security across all People platforms
  • Represent People Apps in the Enterprise Service Management model — own L2/L3 support for your domain
