About The Position

As the Manager, People & Culture Business Partnership, you will lead our strategic partnership with our Merchandising and Footwear teams, directly supporting our Chief Merchandising Officer and General Manager of Footwear. You will drive business outcomes through the application of people programs and initiatives that align with our long-term business strategy. You will provide strategic guidance and expertise in organizational design, performance management, workforce planning, and change leadership to drive employee engagement and success at the individual, team, and business level. As a trusted coach and partner to the senior leaders in your portfolio, you will enable ongoing leadership development across the business through day-to-day partnership and guidance. This is a temporary role ending in October 2027 based out of our North Vancouver or Portland office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada or United States. The People & Culture Business Partner team operates in strategic partnership with the business, driving the continuous evolution of people and leadership practices and fostering a culture that generates high performance teams, strengths-based coaching, and values-based leadership. You will help grow the P&C Business Partnership function within the Merchandising and Footwear portfolio.

Requirements

• A degree in Business and 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within an apparel or retail business environment
• Previous experience working for a global company and a proven ability to quickly build an understanding of a complex global business model
• Great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data and can manage a complex group of stakeholders
• A natural leader, and you’re not afraid to blaze a trail in uncharted territory
• Highly collaborative style, and a willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams as both a lead and supporting team member
• Ability to coach, mentor, advise and where appropriate to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal objectives
• Strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, assess people, understand trends, and develop prioritized recommendations
• Excellent listening and communication skills with an ability to communicate large complex change

Responsibilities

• Partnering with our leaders across the business and overseeing the creation and implementation of our people strategy in alignment with our long-term global business strategy
• Providing ongoing strategic guidance and coaching to the senior leadership teams across Merchandising and Footwear
• Partnering with Total Rewards to inform our evolving total rewards strategy based on business needs, and to ensure the successful implementation and communication of total rewards initiates across your portfolio
• Overseeing the activation of our global performance framework in your portfolio, including performance management, talent assessment, and succession planning
• Providing strategic guidance on organizational design and structure, partnering with the leadership team to design high performing teams that will meet our evolving business needs
• Driving engagement, trust, and performance across the business through sound change leadership and day-to-day partnership with our people
• Overseeing our workforce planning process, identifying gaps between our current and future competency requirements and ensuring we have a strategic people resourcing plan in place to meet long-term business objectives
• Owning the headcount budgeting and forecasting process for your portfolio
• Operating as a key member of the P&C Business Partner leadership team and driving cross-functional P&C initiatives
• Developing cross-functional P&C projects from scratch and participating in business-wide projects that aim to solve organizational pain points in support of our people strategy
• Gathering and analyzing relevant people and business information to identify trends, using results to evolve existing P&C strategies
• Leading cross-functional organizational design in partnership with senior business leaders
