Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) is recruiting for the position of Manager, Patient Programs Data Strategy and Management within the Customer Engagement and Digital Transformation (CEDT) team. This position is based in Titusville, NJ. Purpose: We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to assume the role of Manager, Patient Programs Data Management & Operations. This individual will be the lead for Patient Program Data for our hub, and patient support programs and will lead the data strategy, management, and operations for the current portfolio and future launches. The Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities related to the consumption and transformation of data from the hub and patient programs, through to the downstream solutions via data products, ad hoc analytics, etc. This individual governs all business process rules and provides regular communications regarding status of data quality and processing. They will collaborate with the hub, data vendors and agencies on data acquisition and contracting and ensuring value for data-related investments. Functioning as a subject matter authority, they will support ad hoc, data-centric business questions, and will partner with IT, Patient Experience, and other business partners to proactively resolve data issues and support large, complex data initiatives.

Requirements

  • Validated experience of 6+ years in roles related to data management, analytics, insights or other commercial excellence areas within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, Analytics or Health Sciences is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources/products and expertise in using pharma industry including first party data (HUB, Patient Support Programs, etc.), second party data (Specialty pharmacy), and syndicated/secondary data from leading vendors- IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony, SPP, patient claims, RWE/HEOR, IDN/ACO Affiliations.
  • Previous experience in establishing and leading data partnerships with external vendors.
  • Strong grasp of data analytics, AI, and machine learning concepts and their application to business operations.
  • Knowledge of data querying/business intelligence tools and systems that allow for effective management of large data sets is required.
  • Understanding of data governance standard methodologies, and strong understanding of data lifecycle, data quality, metadata, and data management.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities based on meticulous data analysis and interpretation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate optimally across cross-functional teams and work well with senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry-specific compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the overall sourcing, acquisition, management and operations of patient data from the hub and patient support programs, along with specialty pharmacy data, overseeing the strategy, operations, and ongoing quality of the data assets (HUB, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, etc.)
  • Lead the ongoing quality and application of JJIM data pipeline supporting the insights & analytics, patient experience, sales and marketing organization, ensuring high-quality data and appropriate use.
  • Act as key contact, or “data quarterback” within the StAT organization for patient program data related needs, queries, and issues and advise business and stakeholder teams on the best data sources to leverage for a given business question or insight.
  • Lead the data governance program for the patient program data; actively supervise data quality and resolve data-related issues and disruptions.
  • Lead data change management/ issue resolution/ data integration projects for existing products and new launches – build project plans, perform validation and change management activities.
  • Lead data-centric projects to resolution, through resource management, execution, and communication (e.g., data onboarding, data events/disruptions).
  • Collaborate with internal business partners on data validation and data coordination activities for stakeholders, and reports/systems.
  • Engage business process owners to align on the action plan on the mitigation of data events/changes on various commercial operations processes.
  • Maintain inventory of patient program data and promote organizational awareness of application of data in relevant use cases.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new data sources that may provide new insights, competitive advantage and help advise future data strategy.
  • Ensure that data vendors align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by ensuring data quality, timely delivery, errors reported, time to resolution to data inquiries, account services etc.
