About The Position

Feeding Westchester is looking for people with the passion, courage, and creativity to create meaningful change in the lives of others. As a member of the Feeding America network of food banks and Westchester County’s leading hunger relief organization, we moved nearly 22 million pounds of food to agencies and partners across Westchester County, including food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers, and schools last fiscal year. We supplied 17 million meals to children, families, and seniors, mobilized 11,000 volunteers, and raised over $17 million in donations and government support to help end hunger. Feeding Westchester's mission is to nourish our neighbors in the fight against hunger. As the heart of a network of more than 200 partners, we source and distribute food, and other resources, to communities across Westchester. Feeding Westchester has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and mission driven Manager, Partner Engagement. Working within the Community Engagement and Impact department, reporting to the Senior Manager, Partner Engagement. The Manager, Partner Engagement, is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with programming and distribution partners to maximize their impact in addressing food insecurity across Westchester County. This role is critical to ensure that partnerships are effective, sustainable, and aligned with Feeding Westchester’s strategic goals. This position provides ongoing support to participating partner members and is responsible for the recruitment, evaluation, enrollment, and orientation of new partners, as well as the overall compliance of the network. The ideal candidate will possess strong partner relations, problem-solving, organizational, excellent communication skills, and proven experience of working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of organization and attention to detail, are a must!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership management, community engagement, or a related field, preferably within a nonprofit or social services environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement engagement strategies and programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven success in building effective working partnerships.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving to identify solutions, meet, and enhance organizational mission.
  • Must have valid driver's license and use of a vehicle to ensure ability to travel independently for Feeding Westchester business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen a portfolio of regional network partners, fostering collaborative, mission-aligned relationships that enhance partner experience and impact.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for partners, providing responsive support, guidance, and technical assistance to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Promote a partner-centered approach by identifying needs, addressing challenges, and enhancing overall engagement and satisfaction across the network.
  • Support the implementation, coordination, and ongoing improvement of food distribution programs and partner-led initiatives to address meal gaps and expand access.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between programs, operations, and partner capacity.
  • Assist in piloting new programs and scaling successful models to strengthen network reach and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of partner meetings, training, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Gather, review, and analyze partner data (e.g., distribution volumes, service metrics, compliance findings) to inform decision-making and improve network performance.
  • Utilize insights from data, partner feedback, and site visits to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
  • Support hunger mapping efforts to assess community needs, identify service gaps, and guide strategic expansion of food access points.
  • Maintain and execute a consistent partner compliance and engagement visit schedule (typically every two years), ensuring adherence to Feeding Westchester, state, and federal requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess program operations, food safety standards, and compliance, while providing coaching and corrective guidance as needed.
  • Monitor partner performance and compliance, escalating concerns and recommending solutions to leadership when necessary.
  • Coordinate partner monitoring schedule: develop and direct overall plan for partner compliance and engagement visits; make recommendations to the Department Leadership based on findings through engagements.
  • Conduct regular site visits with network partners to ensure adherence to food safety and program compliance standards, while providing technical assistance and operational guidance as needed.
  • Oversee member agencies grant application process – ensures compliance.
  • Suggest grant allocations per partner member and monitors account usage/activity regularly.
  • Support partners through grant application processes, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
  • Monitor grant utilization and partner spending to ensure timely and appropriate use of funds.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Leadership) to manage allocations, track balances, and address financial discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance to partners on aligning funding with program delivery and performance goals.
