About The Position

The Manager, Outage & Repair Services serves as the primary interface between generating plants and the Central Repair Shop for planned outage work and emergent repair needs. The role evaluates customer requirements, defines repair scope, develops pricing and turnaround commitments, and coordinates internal and external resources to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective work. The position maintains a master repair and outage support schedule 6 to 13 months in advance, aligning shop capacity and specialty resources with plant outage schedules. It works closely with Central Repair Shop leadership and craft resources to confirm capacity. When internal capacity is insufficient, the manager sources and coordinates qualified third-party contract support and temporary headcount for turbine blading, valve repair, welding, machining, and other specialized repair services. Work takes place in office, central repair shop, and power plant environments. The position requires regular interaction with operating plants, occasional travel to job sites, vendor locations, or contractor facilities, and may require overtime, non-standard hours, and availability outside normal business hours to support emergent equipment failures and outage execution. The role requires operating a personal computer and standard business, scheduling, estimating, and work-management applications, as well as a valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
