About The Position

Great Lakes Energy is seeking a Manager, South Operations to lead distribution line operations across our southern service districts. This role oversees construction, maintenance, system improvements, and emergency restoration efforts, while developing frontline leaders and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. For over 85 years, Great Lakes Energy has powered rural communities across 26 counties in western and northern Michigan. As the third-largest Michigan-based electric utility and the state's largest member-owned power company, we proudly serve more than 128,000 meters. Beyond delivering reliable electricity, we are advancing connectivity through Truestream, our fiber communications subsidiary. The Manager, South Operations leads electric distribution line operations across the south districts, including construction, maintenance, inspections, and system improvement projects. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
10+ years in electric distribution operations
5+ years of leadership experience
Strong knowledge of RUS standards and utility safety practices
