About The Position

The Manager on Duty (MOD) will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure the club is successful. This role involves assisting the General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Managers (AGMs) in various aspects of club management, including staff training and development, sales, customer service, facility maintenance, and administrative tasks. The MOD will also provide backup support to club management when AGMs or the GM are not on site and will be involved in all front desk activities.

Requirements

Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
Solid supervisory, diplomacy, and listening skills.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
Hard working, enthusiastic, and energetic.
Strong problem resolution skills.
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Current CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting the GM and AGMs in training and developing a high-performing staff of front desk and trainers.
Making phone calls to prospective members who have shown interest in joining the club.
Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests.
Ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
Providing backup support to Club management when no AGMs or the GM is on site.
Assisting in scheduling and supervising staff.
Assisting in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
Handling all front desk related activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, new member sign-ups, giving tours to prospective members, and facilitating member requests, issues, and questions.
Overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
Ordering supplies using a specific budget based on club requirements.
Tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).
Providing backup support for absent staff members.
