About The Position

The Maryland SoccerPlex is currently seeking an enthusiastic, positive, hard-working, self-starter to join the team as Manager on Duty, for daytime weekday hours. This individual should be motivated, open-minded and environmentally conscious. As a member of the SoccerPlex crew, this individual is responsible for front line customer service at the front desk as well as performing office administrative tasks and duties. The Manager on Duty will assist other departments on various projects as needed. Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge about youth sports and particularly the soccer community in the United States
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge about Microsoft Office Suite, VoIP Phone Systems, and operations of security alarms and cameras
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying climates including extreme cold and heat
  • Ability to work in varying physical positions including standing, kneeling, seated, at height and the use of assistance equipment such ladders, lifts, and motor vehicles
  • Reliable transportation
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests entering the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse, providing professional, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service.
  • Welcome visitors, answer questions regarding facility programs, events, rentals, leagues, tournaments, memberships, and services.
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls using the facility's phone system.
  • Process registrations, payments, and sales for programs, merchandise, food and beverage, and other facility services using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
  • Assist with guest check-in and provide general facility information.
  • Perform other customer service duties as assigned.
  • Assist Finance Manager with general bookkeeping
  • Maintain Facility Scheduling Board and internal calendars.
  • Provide accurate data entry
  • File physical documents and organize online file server
  • Create and update forms, maps, informational packets, signage, flyers, and other communication materials.
  • Support multiple departments with administrative projects, event preparation, and operational tasks.
  • Maintain and order inventory of office supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Lock and unlock various spaces and rooms as needed for activity
  • Monitor security cameras and report suspicious activity or facility concerns.
  • Check in visitors to the building and maintain visitor logs as required.
  • Monitor guest to make sure they adhere to facility rules
