About The Position
Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee-owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have been awarded “Top Workplace” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row. This position reports directly to the Store Director and Assistant Store Manager and is responsible for coordinating day-to-day store operations during assigned shifts. The basic function is to monitor day-to-day store operations, appearance, and staffing, acting as the first line of contact for general operational/supervisory concerns or emergencies. This role also addresses customer needs, wants, and complaints that require special attention and promotes positive customer, community, and employee relations, fostering team cooperation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a lead role within a retail/grocery environment.
- Able to perform department operations, practices, and procedures within a retail/grocery environment.
- Self-directed and results-oriented.
- Project a positive business image and lead by example.
- Good attention to detail and follow-through skills.
- Good customer relations skills.
- Meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality, and safety requirements.
- Works efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices.
- Do basic computer entries required for this position.
- Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.
- Work hours required, including flexible shift schedules, overtime, and weekends.
