About The Position

Ashby is hiring its first Manager of Technical Services to lead and scale its expanding technical integration services within the Professional Services team in the Customer Success organization. The role oversees specialized Integration Consultants focused on deep Workday integrations and Technical Solution Consultants who build bespoke API solutions, provide custom recommendations, and deliver hands-on technical work for customers. The manager will build a highly efficient team capable of handling multiple concurrent complex integrations, resolving technical challenges, and delivering high-value consulting. This leader will shape the technical services strategy and help customers integrate Ashby into complex HR technology stacks while balancing quality, speed, scale, and customer outcomes. The role requires a hands-on leader with experience in technical consulting, integration services, or implementations who can guide technical decisions and support customers through complex integration challenges. The position works closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Implementation to distinguish product gaps from services opportunities, establish ownership, and ensure customer commitments are technically feasible and commercially sound.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in technical consulting, integration services, or technical implementations.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience managing and scaling a team of technical resources.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise integrations, including Workday architecture, APIs, authentication, data mapping, and integration design.
  • Ability to evaluate proposed solutions, identify technical risks, and guide consultants through complex implementation challenges.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for non-technical audiences and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success guiding consultants through a high-volume portfolio of mid-to-large enterprise organizations.
  • Ability to coordinate complex work, keep mixed-discipline teams on track, and balance capacity across concurrent enterprise projects.
  • Experience building a team by anticipating future gaps and identifying upcoming technical capabilities or services needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale a high-performing team of Integration Consultants and Technical Solution Consultants, supporting them in managing high-volume portfolios while maintaining quality standards.
  • Build the operational infrastructure for scaling technical services, including capacity planning, project prioritization, quality standards, and repeatable delivery processes.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point, using knowledge of Workday architecture and complex APIs to troubleshoot active integrations, resolve roadblocks, guide solution scoping, and clarify technical paths.
  • Evolve technical services offerings by identifying recurring customer needs, evaluating opportunities to standardize solutions, and determining which new technical capabilities will have the greatest customer and business impact.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Implementation to distinguish product gaps from services opportunities, establish ownership of complex technical challenges, and ensure customer commitments are technically feasible and commercially sound.
  • Anticipate future team and capability gaps and develop technical services in advance of emerging demand.
  • Dive into technical details, brainstorm and validate solutions to complex integration hurdles, and scope technical paths for mid-project customer pivots.
