About The Position

This position involves leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives. The role requires ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Collaboration with other functions to identify business requirements and challenges is key, as is partnering with senior leadership to deliver innovative solutions. The Manager will serve as the principal authority for application management, maintain responsibility for critical systems, uphold organizational controls, and ensure optimal application performance. This includes implementing comprehensive risk management strategies, addressing business escalations, and ensuring the stability of mission-critical applications. The role also oversees system integration and decommissioning of legacy technology platforms. Additionally, the Manager will lead recruitment, performance management, and development for team members, manage the budget for efficient resource allocation, and prepare and deliver presentations and reports for various stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive informed decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
7 years of experience in the job offered or as Manager of Software Engineering, Software Engineer, Application Developer, System Engineer, or related occupation.
Seven (7) years of experience with software development using C, C++, Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration Framework.
Seven (7) years of experience with application management within financial services including cloud-native development.
Three (3) years of experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders in global or multinational settings to deliver complex projects and initiatives.
Three (3) years of experience using Unix, relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Postgres, and middleware technologies including Kafka and MQ.
Three (3) years of experience managing stakeholder relationships at various organizational levels, including senior leadership.
Three (3) years of experience in risk management and resolving business escalations.
Three (3) years of experience in resource allocation, budgeting, performance management, and recruitment of professional staff.
Three (3) years of experience preparing and delivering presentations and reports for business audiences.
Three (3) years of experience implementing operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Three (3) years of experience delivering presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
