About The Position

This role involves leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects, including work allocation and oversight of project lifecycles. The position ensures strategic alignment with organizational objectives, timely completion of initiatives within scope and to high quality standards. It requires collaboration with other functions to identify business requirements and challenges, and partnering with senior leadership to deliver innovative solutions for complex problems. The role serves as the principal authority for application management, maintaining responsibility for critical systems, upholding organizational controls, and ensuring optimal application performance. Key responsibilities include implementing comprehensive risk management strategies, addressing business escalations, and ensuring the stability of mission-critical applications. The role also oversees system integration, decommissioning of legacy technology platforms, and leads recruitment, performance management, and development for team members. Budget management for efficient allocation of financial resources is also a key duty. The position requires preparing and delivering presentations and reports for technology and business stakeholders, including senior leadership, and communicating project status, risks, and outcomes to drive informed decision-making. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to other JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
  • 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Manager of Software Engineering, Software Engineer, Application Developer, System Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with Software development using C, C++, Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration Framework
  • Seven (7) years of experience with Application management within financial services including cloud-native development.
  • Three (3) years of experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders in global or multinational settings to deliver complex projects and initiatives.
  • Three (3) years of experience using Unix, relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Postgres, and middleware technologies including Kafka and MQ.
  • Three (3) years of experience managing stakeholder relationships at various organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Three (3) years of experience in risk management and resolving business escalations.
  • Three (3) years of experience in resource allocation, budgeting, performance management, and recruitment of professional staff.
  • Three (3) years of experience preparing and delivering presentations and reports for business audiences.
  • Three (3) years of experience implementing operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Three (3) years of experience delivering presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
