About The Position

Join UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital as our Manager of Respiratory Therapy! We’re looking for an experienced respiratory care professional who is ready to take the next step in leadership and make a meaningful impact on our patients, team members, and respiratory services. As the Manager of Respiratory Therapy, you’ll provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department, with 24-hour responsibility for ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered respiratory care. Reporting to the Divisional Director of Respiratory Therapy, you’ll lead and support the respiratory care team while focusing on clinical excellence, team development, operational performance, and the continued growth of respiratory services. This is a great opportunity for a respiratory therapy leader who enjoys developing teams, improving operations, and partnering across the organization to advance patient care.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care
• Bachelor degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or similar
• Current Florida License
• RRT
• ACLS
• BLS for Healthcare providers
• NRP
• PALS
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Maintains/Exceeds all Specialty educational requirements
• Training as required by licensure
• 8 years clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• 5 years of supervisory experience in acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory care
• Develop, mentor, and engage respiratory therapy team members
• Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, professional growth, and employee morale
• Monitor department productivity and operational goals
• Collaborate closely with hospital leadership, physicians, medical staff, and other departments
• Help drive initiatives that support departmental, hospital, and UF Health system goals
