We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Policy and Planning, perfect for a person who has experience developing public policy, has supervised staff and can effectively manage and coordinate within a dynamic environment. As the Manager, Policy and Planning, you will play a key role in advancing the Department’s policy agenda by leading a team of policy professionals and supporting strategic initiatives that address climate change, environmental protection, and regulatory excellence. Reporting to the Director, Policy and Regulatory Excellence, you will provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for policy development, policy analysis, planning, and implementation activities across the department. You will work closely with colleagues across branches to help develop, refine, and implement policies, procedures, and related tools that support government priorities and departmental objectives. In this role, you will contribute to strategic and business planning processes, support high-quality policy advice for senior leadership, and help ensure the department’s work is aligned, well-coordinated, and delivered to a high standard. You will also support collaboration across the department and with partner organizations to advance shared priorities and strengthen policy and planning practices.
