About The Position

Lifepoint Behavioral Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Manager of Outpatient Services for Ottumwa Regional Medical Center. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is vital to the mission of making communities healthier. The role involves implementing approved programs, providing oversight and feedback to therapists, ensuring clinical standards are met in interventions and documentation, conducting chart audits for compliance, participating in survey activities, and managing timely completion of all required reporting.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work or is qualified by education and experience in the social services needs of patients with psychiatric and substance use issues.
  • Current unencumbered Clinical Social Work or Counseling License
  • CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) or Handle with Care (HWC) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • Any additional state-specific state license requirements.
  • Previous experience in outpatient healthcare is required.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that company approved programs are implemented and being provided consistently.
  • Provides oversight to the therapists and provides feedback through the performance evaluation process, supervision, and training and, if necessary, through counseling.
  • Ensures that all interventions (individual, group, and family therapy) are performed and documented according to professional clinical standards.
  • Conducts regular audits on patient charts to ensure compliance with Lifepoint and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Actively participates in survey activities (TJC, Medicare, and licensing).
  • Ensures the timely completion of all required reporting needs, including but not limited to: weekly reports, monthly PI and financial audits, required engagement and action plans, and quarterly board reports.
