About The Position

Manager of Outpatient Services, Behavioral Health at Ottumwa Regional Medical Center. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Lifepoint Behavioral Health is part of Lifepoint Health, a healthcare delivery network. The role involves implementing approved programs, providing oversight to therapists, ensuring clinical documentation standards, conducting chart audits, participating in surveys, and completing required reporting.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work or is qualified by education and experience in the social services needs of patients with psychiatric and substance use issues.
  • Current unencumbered Clinical Social Work or Counseling License
  • CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) or Handle with Care (HWC) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • Any additional state-specific state license requirements.
  • Previous experience in outpatient healthcare is required.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that company approved programs are implemented and being provided consistently.
  • Provides oversight to the therapists and provides feedback through the performance evaluation process, supervision, and training and, if necessary, through counseling.
  • Ensures that all interventions (individual, group, and family therapy) are performed and documented according to professional clinical standards.
  • Conducts regular audits on patient charts to ensure compliance with Lifepoint and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Actively participates in survey activities (TJC, Medicare, and licensing).
  • Ensures the timely completion of all required reporting needs, including but not limited to: weekly reports, monthly PI and financial audits, required engagement and action plans, and quarterly board reports.
