About The Position

Community Health Network is seeking a Manager of Nursing for their new hospital in Westfield, IN, opening in 2027. This role will oversee Inpatient Surgery and offers a unique opportunity to initiate a new nursing team. The manager will achieve departmental goals and objectives by developing partnerships between team members, physicians, and the network, aligning with the values, mission, and vision of Community Health Network. The position involves leadership in providing excellent service, maintaining clinical standards, and meeting patient satisfaction goals, including patient/physician relationships and staff rounding. The Manager will ensure staff meet departmental workload and assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and level of care. They will utilize evidence-based practices regarding patient mix to improve clinical outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.

Requirements

5 or more years of RN experience.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
2-year / associate degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Knowledge and ability to apply Performance Improvement philosophy.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, be flexible, and problem-solve.

Nice To Haves

3 or more years of management/leadership experience.
3 or more years of surgery experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Certification required in relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three years of assuming the role.

Responsibilities

Manage financial resources, including departmental budgets.
Operationalize network goals, objectives, and imperatives.
Understand the change process.
Demonstrate leadership competency in effectiveness standards.
