About The Position

Organizes and directs all daily activities of the Clinical Laboratory Departments in accordance with accepted CLIA 88, GDHR Laboratory College of American Pathologist and AABB regulations. Manages the activities of the Laboratory Department and complies with hospital policies and supports the mission and values of the hospital.

Requirements

• Medical Technologist, ASCP or AMT certification
• BS in Medical Technology or MT accreditation accepted by the State of Georgia.
• Three years in a Laboratory supervisory capacity.
• A working knowledge of principles and practices of department administration, including development, planning, organization, financial and personnel reporting practices and methods and techniques in Laboratory Medicine as required by the regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to plan, organize and coordinate varied and complex operations.
• Must be able to present ideas effectively, orally and in writing to a diverse audience.
• Must be able to deal constructively with conflict.
• Must be able to collect, analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree is preferred.
