The Manager of IT Support Service is responsible for overseeing the hardware and software needs of the organization's information systems. This role involves liaising with functional managers to understand and meet their information needs, ensuring applications and infrastructure are up-to-date and available, and resolving technology issues in accordance with service level objectives. The position also requires effective communication of technology changes and outages, interaction with executives and leaders to gather business needs, and ensuring local technology infrastructure meets uptime targets through various planning strategies. A key aspect of this role is investigating, testing, and applying system and application updates/patches to enhance security and ensuring software licensing is managed. Additionally, the Manager of IT Support Service performs human resources functions for their staff, including interviewing, staff development, performance evaluations, and managing employee concerns. Budgetary responsibilities include developing and recommending operating and capital budgets and controlling expenditures. The role also mandates adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
