About The Position

As a Manager of Finance, you'll work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who are writing the history of our organization and guiding our success as a global industry leader. This role will be part of a finance team that supports value-based care payor contracts and performance evaluation of the contracts. Work on this team consists of financial analysis that support rate negotiations, new member growth and strategic business decisions. Value based care is a primary growth pillar identified for United Health Group and this team will help drive future growth and strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
5+ years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience
Progressive finance work experience
Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Office product suite, and other technology tools
Proven ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas
Demonstrated financial, analytical, and business acumen
Ability to dissect large data sets and pull together meaningful financial analyses to drive business decisions
Ability to generate innovative approaches and solutions to business opportunities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

Interface with business leaders and build relationships in support of financial analysis and performance measurement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the national contracting teams and the regional finance and business teams
Manage business relationships on behalf of the broader Finance organization and Leadership
Leverage technology and carry out process improvement activities
