Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of related experience; including three years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and time-critical situations.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently and efficiently.
  • Self-starter, proactive, and able to work under general supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with people from diverse educational backgrounds, disciplines, and professions.
  • Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls.
  • Ability to manage, plan, and organize the overall building maintenance and operations.
  • Ability to be accountable, responsible, and dependable member of the Campus Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the oversight of contracted facilities services, including maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental, and construction-related activities.
  • Monitors facility conditions and operations; identifies, reports, and coordinates resolution of maintenance repairs and projects.
  • Ensures service quality and performance standards are consistently met through quality assurance and quality control efforts.
  • Coordinates repairs, maintenance activities, and operational projects.
  • Fosters effective relationships with campus stakeholders, service providers, and contractors to ensure responsive and efficient service delivery.
  • Serves as primary contact for after-hours building emergencies, and must be able to promptly respond in person, on site, to after-hours building emergencies.
  • Manages building proctors and coordinate facility-related activities across assigned campuses.
  • Coordinates office relocations other operational support functions.
  • Acts as representative of Campus Operations and as valued member of TSU as part of the A&M system and performs other duties as assigned.
