About The Position

The Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Manager of Facilities & Maintenance to oversee all aspects of hotel engineering, maintenance operations, and building systems. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and exceptional environment for guests and associates while protecting the hotel's physical assets and driving operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or building operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
  • Experience managing preventative maintenance programs, capital projects, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations, fire codes, and building compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and respond effectively to operational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations for a full-service hotel.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life safety, pool/spa, refrigeration, and other critical building systems.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and asset longevity.
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Marriott brand standards and operational expectations.
  • Manage capital projects, renovations, vendor relationships, and energy management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, fire, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team through effective recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Manage departmental budgets, expenses, inventory, and purchasing while maintaining operational excellence.
