About The Position

Ontario County's Economic Development Department is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position of Manager of Economic Development. This role involves financial management within economic development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other directly related field specifically structured to prepare individuals for work involving accounting (such degrees must include or be supplemented by 18 semester credit hours in accounting)
  • Five (5) years of full-time paid work experience, or its part-time equivalent, of finance managerial experience in governmental accounting
  • Two (2) years of which must have been in a full supervisory or managerial capacity

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education beyond a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (30 credit hours equal to 1 year of experience, up to 2 years)
  • Possession of a CPA, CMA, MBA or MPA Degree (can substitute for 1 year of experience)
