Manager of Accounting

Snapdocs•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Snapdocs is hiring a Manager of Accounting to lead order-to-cash accounting across multiple revenue streams. The role owns billing, accounts receivable, cash application, and revenue accounting while coaching the team responsible for daily operations. It focuses on keeping revenue accounting accurate and improving the work behind billing, invoicing, and cash application. The manager applies U.S. GAAP revenue recognition judgment to transaction activity, makes routine decisions independently, and escalates judgment calls to the Controller. The role partners with Customer Success, Sales, Legal, and Finance to resolve billing questions and explain how process choices affect customers and reporting. It also identifies manual work to automate, tests automation with appropriate controls, and retains human review where accounting judgment is needed. The manager sets priorities with the Corporate Controller, documents decisions, and raises risks early. Snapdocs requires AI proficiency in repeatable accounting workflows, with the ability to explain workflow checks and failure points and verify outputs before they affect accounting records or customer billing. The role offers a base salary range determined by work location: $120,000–$150,000 in Zone 1 (SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and NYC) and $105,000–$131,500 in Zone 2 (all other U.S. locations). Placement within the range depends on experience, skills, and expected impact. The position also includes variable compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
