About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Manager, Multi‑Service to support dining operations at Tufts University – Lawrence Campus in Medford, MA. This is a Monday–Friday opportunity offering excellent work‑life balance, ideal for leaders passionate about food safety, sanitation, and operational excellence. This role is highly hands‑on and focused on ensuring food operations are always health‑inspection ready, while effectively managing people, processes, and finances. Candidates with strong food service management experience—including those from upscale restaurant AGM or GM roles (2+ years)—are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Food service management experience (higher education, healthcare, or comparable environment)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with cash handling, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and payroll
  • Proven ability to lead and develop hourly staff
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years management experience
  • 2 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending)

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience supporting EVS / Environmental Services
  • Upscale restaurant AGM or GM experience (2+ years)
  • Prior Sodexo experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Sodexo systems such as Retail Ranger a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce all food safety and sanitation programs to ensure continuous health inspection readiness
  • Conduct routine audits, safety walks, and operational checks
  • Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage cash handling procedures, deposits, variances, and internal controls
  • Responsible for inventory management, purchasing, and cost controls
  • Primarily food‑focused, with exposure or support of EVS/Environmental Services operations as needed
  • Manage scheduling and payroll, ensuring appropriate coverage and labor efficiency
