About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 2- Multi-Service for SSM Health, St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, WI. This is a rural acute care hospital with inpatient, Emergency Services, and Outpatient Services. The General Manager (GM) will oversee Support Service Departments for the hospital, supported by a Food Operations Manager, an EVS Manager, and frontline supervisors. The ideal candidate will have strong client relations, communication, and interdepartmental relationship-building skills. We are seeking a leader with knowledge of Food Service and Housekeeping / EVS best practices within healthcare. This Hospital has full-service inpatient, OB, Surgical/OR services, and a 2-hour Emergency Department, with an average daily census of 25 inpatients. Knowledge of hospitality services as it pertains to food service and housekeeping operations is also desired. Requirements

  • experience leading, developing and motivating a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system
  • expertise in building and maintaining strong customer / client relationships
  • strong leadership skills, working independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a hospital environment
  • ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management
  • experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • proficiency with computers and other technology
  • experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations
  • strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years Minimum Management Experience
  • 5 years Minimum Functional Experience

Responsibilities

  • provide exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • partner with the Environment of Care Committee, Infection Prevention Director and other key members of hospital leadership
  • effectively manage the Unit Operating System
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce
