About The Position

The Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy, plays a critical role in supporting Walmart’s marketing strategy and brand objectives by leveraging data-driven customer insights to enhance market differentiation. This position oversees the development and execution of targeted marketing initiatives, including creative briefs and media plans, ensuring alignment with brand standards and budget management. Collaborating cross-functionally, the role drives consistent messaging across channels while analyzing campaign performance to optimize results. The manager also leads and mentors team members, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence in marketing execution. The Sam’s Club Connect brand marketing team leads the development and management of brand presentation both internally and externally. This team blends creativity with strategic planning to drive revenue and strengthen brand recognition in retail media. They design branded campaigns and support marketing, sales, and leadership with innovative initiatives. Collaborating across functions, the team ensures consistent messaging and brand alignment. They utilize data and insights to inform marketing strategies, delivering impactful results that advance business objectives and enhance customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing strategy development and execution aligned with brand objectives.
  • Strong ability to analyze customer data and market insights to inform targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing marketing programs, including media planning, budget oversight, and performance measurement.
  • Skilled in developing creative briefs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching and mentoring team members to enhance performance and engagement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders and drive strategic alignment.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethical standards, and delivering customer-focused results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years' experience in marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Walmart’s marketing strategy and brand objectives using customer insights and data analysis.
