Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech DePuy Synthes is seeking a Manager, Marketing Operations for Trauma and Extremities, based in West Chester, PA. This role is responsible for driving commercial execution and sales support activities that help optimize the Traum and Extremities business, including marketing operations, compliance and copy approval processes, and support for local and regional meetings. The position partners closely with sales and marketing leadership to align execution with business priorities and deliver operational excellence.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a BA/BS degree or equivalent is required; Business/Marketing/Finance degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant business experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare / medical device marketing, sales, finance, or other commercial experience is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability through influencing, including the ability to lead and manage through change is required.
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communications skills; excellent organizational skills along with the ability to make sales presentations with positive results is required.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders; which includes communicating, influencing, and providing comprehensive solutions is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, including the ability to design, structure, and lead projects is required.
  • Ability to travel required (~5-10%)

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Track record of success working within a matrixed organizational environment; enterprise mindset decision-making is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of customer, business intelligence and industry trends is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and project management along with is preferred.
  • Strong business & financial acumen in understanding the needs and priorities of the broader business with a penchant for understanding the use of metrics/numbers to gauge overall performance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of global lifecycle management strategies for products, families and systems including the communication and execution plan.
  • Ensure alignment of global strategy in cross-functional programs.
  • Ensure all materials accurately reflect product positioning and clinical evidence.
  • Lead the review and approval process for new marketing materials, collaborating with regulatory, legal, medical and clinical affairs.
  • Ensure all promotional materials and educational materials adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal cross-functional partners to provide on-site support.
  • Be responsive in responding to requests from customers and sales consultants.
  • Work collaboratively with functional areas and Strategic Partners to ensure business issues are addressed.
  • Achieve worldwide business plan objectives of sales, net income, gross profit, inventory and price on an annual basis.
  • Manage expenses within budget.
  • Increase company’s leadership position in trauma market.
  • Supporting and executing impactful worldwide product launches.
  • Specific responsibilities include the development of marketing materials for all key stakeholders, and drive the inventory roll-out plan, sales tools.
  • Lead coordination with Regional Marketing teams and key countries.
  • Contribute to multigenerational portfolio plans aligned to company strategy.
  • Partner with R&D and Strategic Alliance counterpart to lead product development programs.
  • Leverage strong understanding of product development process and functional areas such as quality and regulatory to ensure on-time launches.
  • Position typically does not involve management of direct reports, but will provide direction and mentorship to junior members of the DePuy Synthes team.
  • The position involves extensive interaction with external partners requiring collaboration and management of the partner resources and development processes.
